IANTDEXPEDITIONS visiting the SCIRE Mark Feder
IANTDEXPEDITIONS from Italy, led by Fabio Ruberti, arrived in Israel, in order to make a documentary about the Scire. The team was comprised of nine divers, including the team leader, his assistant, photagraphers, vidographers and technical divers.
During two days of diving to the Scire, the submarine was photographed and filmed, including laying a wreath on it, in memory of the dead sailors. Between dives, I arranged for the team to meet with Dr. Ehud Galilee, a known marine archeologist, who was the first to dive to the Scire and even entered it in the past. Dr. Galilee presented the team with relics that he retrieved from the submarine years ago - a rebreather and a fin. The second day of diving was also documented by an IBA (Israel Broadcast Authority) film team, led by the reporter, Itai Dodi. This team provided local media coverage of the expedition.

The expedition members also had time to visit sites above water, which included: Acre, Ceaserea, the Naval museum in Haifa and Jerusalem.
Ten sets of doubles and stage tanks were provided by 'Deep' diving center in Eilat and gases were provided by their branch in Tel Aviv.
The closing event of the expedition was hosted by Shai Roth, allowing the Italian team to meet and to mingle with members of the technical diving community in Israel.
